All-Veterans Memorial Dedication/Groundbreaking
November 1, 2025
Forrest Jones City Park was filled with local veterans and community members for this event. Thank you to everyone who turned out for this groundbreaking event.
Russ Carmack served as the master of ceremony and provided the background of the project. Thank you was provided to all parties that had contributed to the planning and organization of the veteran’s memorial. Sherriff Neil Thomas shared his story as a veteran. The Montgomery County Cooperative Extension, EHC, ladies presented several beautiful quilts to honor the veterans in attendance.
Everyone was welcome to stay for a meal and sharing of their stories.
